Default Mistakenly bought a MS DIY kit right before they redid the website. In over my head.

A while back I ordered the MS DIY kit, the MS1 extra 3.0 PCB as per the instructions in this thread
https://www.miataturbo.net/useful-sa...asquirt-13676/
Then about a week later Megsquirt redid their website and all the links and instructions broke and a banner appeared calling the instructions "VERY OLD AND OUTDATED" which complicated things quite a bit. I messed up here, I should have noticed how old the instructions were beforehand.
I found these instructions on the new website. If I follow these instructions how close will it get me? MS-Extra V3.0 Build Manual I also bought the options for boost control, relay control for the fans, and the PWM IAC valve control.
I realize I really fucked up here but at the time I bought it the instructions were all there picture by picture and I believed I could get it done but now I just don't want to have wasted $300 and be forced to pay $700 for a full kit that's not as powerful as the one I could have build myself.

I found a friend who does this kind of stuff all the time who offered to help me so I have the ability now I just need to find a good set of instructions.

I added that red banner on the top of my write-up in August of 2014.

That's my content that I wrote in 2007, it has no affiliation with "Megasquirt" and "their website". those images were hosted on my own personal website: boostedmiata.com that I stopped paying for in like 2012.

I would work with DIYAUTOTUNE to return your order and instead purchase a MS3 v3.0 kit + MS Expander board

and then follow these documents for assembly: 90 ? 97 MS3 | Frank's Westfield MX5 90 ? 97 MS3 |

There's other options for the harness that's less "hacky". I still like a regular patch harness that doesnt require any cutting/modifying and hair-pulling when trying to run ~40 wires inside such a tight space.

Wow how the hell did I not notice that huge banner, I could have sworn the instructions were whole and working when I bought it a few months ago but I guess I was wrong. Can't believe I messed up so badly with this. Well thanks for the info, total noob **** up here. Live and learn

you might also look into the DIYPNP. This is a really good solution for less $$$.
