Default AEM UEGO doesn't agree with mspnp

Edit: found my problem. Apparently in the configuration window, for the aem uego to work you need to select AEM Linear, not AEM UEGO non-linear. I was using the later, and it wasn't reading correctly. Switched it and now the ms's gauge and my aem gauge read identical.

On a side note, I remember reading about someone creating a ini file or something to allow the target tables to show target A/F instead of the equivilant target Volts for the AEM UEGO. Anyone know more about this? Couldn't dig this up using the search...

Sounds like you figured it out, AEM linear. While you're at it, make sure the WB is grounded to the same location as the ECU (probably the valve cover)

I completely forgot to ground the wideband to the same point as the ecu. Add that to tomorrows to-do list. Thanks.

I ran the wideband's ground into the engine bay but where does the ecu ground?

edit: nevermind, for anyone else wondering, it's covered in Foundsoul's DIY Megasquirt FAQ under installing a wideband.

Sucks, I am still running on pretty much a base map with minor tweaks.

I have one problem with the instructions on that other page. I found the msns-extra file and changed the line in that one according to the instructions, but then he says to edit my MSQ file. What msq file? Where do I find it/how do I open it to edit it? I thought msq's were the files that megatune opens up. Which I can't open up with notepad like I could with the msns-extra.ini file...
Help me out, trying to finish the second half of this so it all works in a/f.

I don't recall getting that message. I remember I made the changes, and that was it. I had already installed the AEM WB before I made those changes that Chad posted. I'm pretty useless, I know.

However, thanks to you I am throwing my laptop in the car and I am going to go datalog a little bit. At 4.07 per gallon I think running 10.1:1 under boost is costly. Gonna trim it out a bit. Good luck. I havent really messed with the MSPnP yet, but I love it from day 1. No issues whatsoevah.

You're useless

So You just edited the msns-extra-ini file and it worked for you?

Good luck on the tweaking - I just got done tuning the VE table for a few hours. Great stuff, this is one hell of a little box!

Your MSQ is the file that you open in megatune. Its just a text file though so open it in megatune if that's what needs to be done. I haven't done that mod in forever so I don't remember exactly what needs to be done.
