I have searched all around but I cannot find a direct answer; hopefully I will not have to get out my flame suit.... So I have been excited about doing a DIYPNP and F/I build for a while now, so I have been religiously reading all of the threads I can find, Corky's Book "Maximum Boost", DIYAutotunes book "Performance Fuel Injection Systems", and the DIYAutotune page DIYPNP MegaSquirt installation for the Mazda Miata. Reading over Braineack's thread: "https://www.miataturbo.net/useful-saved-posts-8/how-make-install-your-own-diy-megasquirt-13676/" I started to get confused as to what my shopping list is supposed to look like for my car. Obviously I need the Board, cables/plugs, Sequential Injection, and IAT sensor, and I'm also going to get the power adapter to make my life simpler. What I am confused about is if I need something for VICS, the "Mod kit for Fan control" or "Mod kit to control the idle valve" that he mentions, or if this is already included in the board? I know the post was written a while ago, I just don't want to miss parts that I need in order to get the build done. I only have winter break while I am off school to build this, so not having parts would be an issue. Does anyone know what is included or if I need the extra parts? Also, is there anything else that I may need that was not mentioned on the model specific page DIYAutotune wrote? I am sorry if this is answered before, but I get so confused reading through the massive number of threads. It's quite confusing to tell what model of board someone is using, what model car, has the kit changed....on and on. Thanks in advance!
