I have my stock IAT working with MS but i don't have it in my intake piping at all. It's just sitting in the engine bay by the filter. This sensor is not threaded it was designed to just push into the stock intake crossover. So, i'm thinking in order for me to use IAT at all i need to get the GM sensor, tap my charge piping near the throttle body and screw it in. I just don't see the stock IAT sensor staying in place if i drill a hole in a silicone coupler.
So does it sound like a plan to get the GM IAT, connect it to the stock IAT wiring and then plumb it in how it should be?

I can do that easily, but I was thinking it would be best to have the IAT after the IC? I'm also pretty sure the stock sensor on a '99 is closed element(slow).

yeah, i doubt the stock sensor is designed for FI, but it might work, might not. definately want it post ic though.

Think i'll go the GM sensor route then. That way i know it will do what I want. Open element correct?
Now that i've removed R4 & R7 though i wonder if I'll have to add them again.
Do you know?

yeah, open element. probably should put them back in. easytherm will take care of the CLT.

I wonder if one resistor is for the CLT and one is for IAT. I had to remove them in order to get correct readings using easytherm.
