The basemap you selected is not compatible with the firmware on the megasquirt. It looks to the untrained eye that you are trying to load a basemap for an MS2 on a MS1, but I will admit I don't know anything.

Your untrained eye is 100% correct.

I will try and track down the proper software tonight once I get home.

And to the mod who changed the title you are in fact very correct, electronics have gotten the best of me

So I have been trying to tune my car and its just not working. I have to set my timing at 33 degrees just to get it to turn on but its just not running.

The Back fires are so bad my neighbors must all think I own an AK-47 and fire it for fun!

I cant even get it to idle properly at 850 rpm to even try and check my timing properly.

Can anyone shed some light on possible problems?

Are you now using this basemap?

Did you lock the timing at 10 degrees within the megasquirt settings and then verify base timing with a light?

Is it possible that the ring on the balancer has moved, since this is a common problem?

I cant even do that because it will not start at 10 degrees timing

I attached a data log i tried to do before the car died.

Thanks for your help!

Disable the fuel pump, lock the advance to 10 deg in the megasquirt and have a friend crank the engine over while you check the base timing.
