Mounting Megasquirt in an NB (parallel install)
For those of you running parallel, where have you mounted your Megasquirt? I know that lots of folks running standalone will put the Megasquirt in the stock ECU location, and I've seen photos of a few in the glovebox.
I've got a boomslang harness with an 18" MS pigtail wired in. Crawling around under the footwell with this cable in my hand was fruitless. I don't see any good spots to mount the MS within reach of the pigtail.
I guess I could replace the 18" with this 12' cable, and then put the MS in the glovebox or under the seat.
Have I overlooked anything?

I love my paralled setup!
Stock ECU controls my Alternator, Air Conditioning, Idle Air Control Valve & Rad Fan. I can also still use my ODBII port for Dyno Integration (RPM etc) / Datalogging a lot of my stock sensors as I have independent GM Air and GM Coolant Temp sensors for the MS.
All my MS1 unit is worrying about is Fuel and Spark Started the car in 40f weather on Saturday and the the stock ECU controlled the Idle at 1800rpm for warm-up and then dropped it down to my idle at 900rpm once we had a little heat in the system.
I used to be all about Standalones, but I love my parrallel setup.... + plus it is very easy to reverse for my etest.
Just my 2 cents....
