Default Bypass MS for AC

Somewhere along the line I saw a thread about bypassing the MS and triggering the AC compressor when the AC button is pressed by connecting two wires in the AC circuit but I cannot find the thread... Can someone point me in the right direction? I have searched but must be missing the right keyword. If I recall correctly it was here or M.net but my brain is not bringing that to me...

I eventually want to figure out why when MS sees the AC it is not triggering the compressor but I have bigger issues right now. The only time we use AC is when it is raining hard enough that we have to put the top up. Being as it is not a DD that is not often.

Check the stickies. There's a whole section on this, including marked-up FSM diagrams courtesy of Joe.

The stickies, sadly, have become somewhat corrupted over the years, as various image-hosts have come and gone. It's depressing how much data has been lost...

For a '93, the info that you need is still in this thread, right at the top of the first post: https://www.miataturbo.net/megasquir...t-c-faq-20954/

It's ironic that you say this, as one of the reasons I started using off-site hosting was the Great Database Migration Disaster, which annihilated about half of the forum's archives back during the Philip administration.

Nowadays we're in better hands, and, in fact, the server automatically re-hosts all externally hotlinked images.

Extremely annoying for those of us who host our images at highly stable online servers like imgur, since half the time the re-hosted images on this site don't work.

Unfortunately, I did not find what I was looking for in the sticky. I will have to hunt some more and will report back what I find.

I understand that it's in your nature to be contrarian, and at first, I was also annoyed by it. But I've honestly had zero problems with the local hosting since it was implemented. It also nicely solved the problem of people breaking the site formatting by failing to resize massive images before posting them.

And it's ironic that you mention imgur, as they were responsible for a lot of my lost images. Go check out the older stickies and you can see (by the error boxes) exactly which hosting sites decided to nuke my old data. (Imageframe was another one that caused me a lot of grief.)

It was in the first post:

Duh, it was a different wording that the one that I saw before and I just missed it. Some days I am amazed that I remember to put on pants before leaving the house.

the local hosting fixed this problem, not added to it.

my asinine response: build your MS3x correctly next time.

my slightly-civil response: fix your MS3x.

my helpful response: stop trying to hack your **** and fix your MS3x install that you obviously messed up. There's plenty of documentation that suggests you input the a/c switch (1Q) on an input like datalog in, and then put the compressor output (1J) on a spare injector output like Inj H. This is easy. Do you also need me to start pumping my breast milk and feed you how to properly set it up in the software too?

You did this for me before in another thread here. back when I was still a super noob to MS. So I know it is searchable. Your titty milk has helped me grow big and strong Brain. I finally quit shitting my paints too.

I believe that it is wired correctly but I don't have time to check this issue and it is a minor one for now so I was just looking for a way around this.

Was there ever a time that this was new to you or did you just know this stuff right out of the box? Give us noobs some room to fail and learn. I understand that you are the guru and I respect that.

Brainey learned this all from me in 1894 during a mind-meld while we were stationed together in Tonghak during the First Sino-Japanese war. Several years later, I invented the concept of electronic fuel injection while in the womb, and sold the rights to Robert Bosch Sr. shortly after my birth.

So, for all intents and purposes, neither of us were really ever newbs per se, as we both mastered the concept of Megasquirt configuration and tuning roughly ninety years prior to its invention.

But seriously, this is just the standard new-user hazing ritual. Welcome to MiataTurbo.net.

Its not so much having all the knowledge at hand as it is doing a good search. The only reason I can give you **** is because my thread is not even a year old yet that covers this topic and includes shitty pictures and brain holding my hand. The dude has been repeating himself for years to a number of people. You have to respect that. If a swarm of people came at you and asked 30 million ?s a month and didnt pay you, would you be happy to give answers.

You sound a little lazy. Try doing it the right way and fully utilize the features of your MS3 its not like your running a MS1. Heck even Hornetball built some code for idle up for the MS1 to run ac. You can start to see where simply wiring some jumpers and and configuring an output is cake.
