Default PID idle activation to initiate closed loop?

There is a new idle activation option. It works fine, but when selected it grays out all the idle activation parameters. Its called pid idle activation.

What is the algorithm doing under the hood? What parameters is it using?

If its PID, I would think you could adjust one of more of the variable P, I, and D. In addition to the target idle RPM.
Unless they found that a particular PID setup works perfectly for all IACV, which I doubt.
