Default Nitrous Control

i have been treating myself to some silly stuff, lol
Cold Fusion wet nitrous kit, jetted for 65bhp at the moment.
and a zex purge kit
20lbs bottle.

its a single nozzle wet kit at the moment but with me being on throttle bodies i need it to be direct port.
so i have been looking at ways to sort this out and have noticed that ms has a nitrous control feature. if i am right in my understanding of it, it just adds the extra fuel through your current injectors.
so i can now convert my wet kit to a dry kit and install it with just the nitrous nozzles, and the megasquirt will sort out the extra fuelling.
am i correct in thinking this?

in a way you have an idea, but its not entirely up to MS to increase your fuel needs. PWM - pulse width modulation will control when your injectors open and close which will provide more fuel but you'll come to a point where the stock injectors will max out, you can get larger injectors and a fuel pump, or afpr... mix and match.
MS2 has two open controls which you can use for anything you can wire in but I'm not at the level of going there at this time...

could i not just run bigger injectors to overcome that problem???
i need to know about this asap really as i want to get the extra nozzles bought and get the kit fitted ready for when i sort this misfire.

I would think all you'd need is some way to accurately measure the amount of nitrous going into the cylinders. You could probably do it by tuning VERY carefully using a wideband. You'll also be required to run a MAP sensor, obviously, since I'm pretty sure the nitrous spray cools the charge as well.

i am currently running the map sensor and tps,
can the tps not be used to activate the nitrous injection, the nitrous nozzles are jetted so i will know the amount of nitrous being injected for a given pressure.
cant the megasquirt then sort out the fuelling if the injectors are big enough for the nitrous being injected? i am running a wideband so tuning it to suit shouln't be difficult.
what is the puropse of the nitrous control on the megasquirt if it cant control the fuelling for the nitrous???

or am i better off forgetting about controlling it on the megasquirt and running the wet kit and jetting it all at the foggers to suit?

I supposed you can just set up an output trigger for the squeeze, and if you have the injector headroom.

ah ok, cheers.
thats what i thought, trigger the nitrous after 4000rpm at max tps adc, above 70 degrees.
i would have to calculate the extra fuel needed depending on the amount of nitrous that is being injected and add the extra pulsewidth once i know that wouldn't i, or just increase the pw until its not lean.

Look for the math, you can probably find it on a nitrous manufacturer web site. We ran accel's engine management in the 900" camaro on a 3 stage...and just set up a trigger for each stage.
