Default EBC controlled by MS

I was reading this:
http://miataturbo.wikidot.com/ms-mods

About halfway down the page there is a section on electronic boost control using some solenoid that is linked on the page. I am very intrigued by this, and will likely pull the trigger soon.

Will this work for my DIYMSI?

Then, we come to this:
Run one of the wires to a constant 12v source (most use the blue connector near the driver headlight). Run the other wire to your harness and back into the middle leg of the FET.
Way lost as to where to run the other two wires. I have no idea what my "harness" and "FET" imply.

Thanks!

EBC code is open loop only in MS-I.

that means while you can hold the boost steady, it might raise or lower depending on the outside temp.

So it works, but works without temperature correction?

Brain, is there any way I could get an output diagram of the MS harness? I take it I can run the signal wire from the solenoid to the MS on an unused pin, and set what that pin does in TS?

Also, what is the FET that the install instructions refer to?

you have to build the circuit, which is in the wiki.

all you can do it set your duty cycle the valve runs at. since the density changes with temps, a cold day means more boost as same duty cycle and a hot day means less boost.

you need an msII to take advantage of hte PID closed loop code.

otherwise, just stick with the MBC.

Thanks for the help.
