This is a cross-post as I've also asked this question over at msextra.com, but I'm hoping maybe someone here will have some insight.

I ran across something yesterday that concerns me with regard to my upcoming MS build. Specifically, a chart on the ExtraEFI webpage showing some pinout options for MS-I: http://www.extraefi.co.uk/compare.htm

Note that next to Water Injection PWM (JS1) and Boost Control PWM (JS2) is a note indicating that "Not recommended to use these together."

What's up with this? Have I missed something, or is this problem somehow particular to the ExtraEFI hardware package? I was really hoping to be able to drive a HSV so I can convert my existing water injection system to a proper 2d mapped system. It seems a bit counter-intuitive that you can't use EBC and WI control at the same time- from an applications perspective they are mutually dependent.

Currently planning to run this on a 3.0 MS-I, probably with HR code.

I'd appreciate any advice here.

I think you read it wrong.

JS1

NOS Relay Output and Water Injection PWM Output Water Valve Can not be used together

JS2

Programmable Output 1 and Boost Controller PWM Output ¡ can not be used togther

IE one function for each output.

I understand that each pin can only be used for either the function in column A or the function in column B. And I think that's what they're trying to convey by stating:
Note: Two functions in the same row can NOT be used together! e.g. NOS and Water Injection as they are not used in another pad, etc
That's why the special-case warning "¡ Not recommended to use these together." troubled me. It seems to indicate that they are specifically pointing out that EBC and WI are not to be used at the same time. It's puzzling, and I'm hoping that someone from ExtraEFI will chime in over at the msextra.com forum.
