Default What custom filters for VEanalyze live do you use?

Hi guys,

I just did the first rounds with the new VEanalyze live an it wqorks nicely.

Now I have the feeling that it cuts my lowest (20kPa-40kPa) rows way too much from 1500rpm to 5000 rpm.

That is how the VEtable looks after this first hour of driving.

Should I filter the rows <40kPa anyway? What other filters would you set?

P.S.: I know there are some areas I haven't met at all...

Thanks, Greets

Your fuel table looks terrible. You need to use VE analyzer to get the #'s close, then fine tune by hand and probably go back and forth between the tabular screen and 3d form to make linear adjustments. Whatever is going on from 4k-5k rpm is weird.

I do like 1500RPM, 35kPa, and > 5% TPS

I noticed the same thing. It doesn't seem to ignore overrun fast enough so you get that dead spot at the bottom center. I use 1000rpm,20kpa.

As I said - I have a lot of point's I didn't meet at all. This is the raw map after driving with VEanalyze - I already gave the map some hand-smoothing.

@all- how would you fill the lower row? At the moment I interpolated between the 1500 and 6100rpm column.

I usually run it with around 30 kPa as the lower limit, and also a lower rpm limit of 1200 because I don't want it touching my idle. The only time you hit that bottom row is in overrun, but if you look at the MAP gauge during overrun, you'll actually be pulling vac down to ~16 kPa, or at least mine does. I don't think it spends enough time right at 20 kPa for the auto tuning to do any good. Whatever the reason, I basically tune that whole row by hand. Just see where your WBO2 is at before the overrun fuel cut kicks in and adjust it a point or two richer/leaner as necessary.

You also don't need to target a super lean AFR in that row. The throttle plate is closed so if you target 14.0 versus 16.0 it's not going to make a big difference in fuel economy, and it will help with driveability to not have it super lean if the car ever sees the kind of traffic where you might be getting on & off the throttle more frequently.

it will come to idle better if you try to maintain 14.0:1 before you come to idle as well.

does the filter work backwords or anything? Entered map > 25 and it did just the opposite (only tune the lower row).
