Hey gang,
My MSM Swapped 99 lives! But doesn't exactly run well yet. I would love some input. As it stands, it is pig rich at idle, spitting raw fuel out the exhaust.
It has almost no power from 1k-4k RPMs. From 4-5k It seems to be trying to drown itself. However from 5k on, IF you can get to 5k.. The boost kicks in and WOOSH!
I finally got everything working long enough to get one short session of data logging in.
I have attached both my tune and my log. I would appreciate any help I can get. I will happily admit, I am a COMPLETE newb at this. I am trying to learn it... But it is going slow.
Thanks!
Randy

Did you set the Req fuel for your injectors?
Do you have a wideband?
Did you set your base timing?
Took a look at your VE and timing tables, looks like you grabbed a tuned one from somebody. did not bother with the log... I don't do much boost stuff so wont comment on timing there, but first look at where your car idles. Fire it up, open tunerstudio and look at your VE table, It should be idling in the lower left of the table, around 30ish KPA. If its much higher than 30 you may have a vac leak or something, but if not start lowering the cells there by 5-6 at a time until idle leans out.

I took the base 99 tune from DIYPNP and put the stock MSM Fuel and timing tables into it.
Brett Willett then logged in to my laptop and got it so it idles pretty good and will drive. But yea, I am still a long way from road ready.

Looks like all you need to do is tune it. Your AFRs are waaaaay off.
One of the many secrets to tuning is to do things slowly. Your throttle input is sudden and all over the place. At this point your car is a virgin. Treat her gently and don't stomp on it.
Once you got your fuel tuned, deal with accel enrichment.

Be very careful when you are under boost.
Your ignition table is very advanced.
I have an MSM with an MS3 and I get knock if I exceed 15 degrees at 150kpa in the peak torque region (3400-4800 RPM).
Also, your AFR table only goes to 100kpa, you need to handle AFRs under boost (> 100kpa) which will need to be lower than the values you have currently in the 100kpa row.
You mentioned that you modified a base DIYPNP and added the stock MSM fuel and timing tables.
Where did you get the MSM tables from - are they from logs generated while running an OEM ECU?

I got the stock MSM tune from Glooba here... Megasquirt tunes to get you started.
I have a buddy coming over this week to look into my tune.

Brett Willett Has been doing my tuning remotely for the last few days. However, we are on hold for now, until I figure out why the freaking IAT is not working. Matt Cramer from DIYPNP is working with me on that right now.
