Default Timing Question

MegaSquirtPNP by DIYAutoTune.com

Got a little confusion about the install instructions here (above). My timing is mechanically set to 10 deg advance. When installing the MS and setting trigger angle in TS (in Ignition Options), do you enter 0 or 10 in the Trigger Angle/Offset box?

TIA!

Miatas don't have mechanical advance.
You verify your trigger offset according to the handbook. It may or may not be 10deg. On my '99 it's 6deg.

You just need to make sure that when you tell MS to command 10 degrees (using fixed advance) that your timing light shows 10 degrees advance. If it doesn't, then you use the trigger angle to compensate. So, your trigger angle isn't a predefined value, it's something you have to tune in.

Setting advance via the CAS is not mechanical (vs. electronically in engine management)?
