Default Funky Hesitation Issue at around 4k...

I'm having this strange hesitation issue at around 4k. I just got back in from adding two engine grounds and soldiering in the .1 uf capacitor. The problem has lessoned but has not gone completely. Before the car would violently buck when i hit the rpm now it does a small hesitation the tach needle drops out I'm afraid to really bring it any higher than like 5.5k because it seems to happen again. Here is a pic of the data log when it happens. It seems my spark angle drops out for a second or something. I also attached a small data log of me idling the car and then revving it to about 5k. You can see when the hesitation happens by looking at rpm and spark angle.

BTW: I changed my user name... Formerly: Driftin8ez

I fixed it. I'm a little embarrassed to say what it was. The parallel port connector on the megasquirt wasn't tightened all the way and i guess it was losing sync or something. This thing really drives nice now. I guess it's time to wire in my ebc and crank it up to 10psi and see what this thing can really do.

Ya... Thanks again for all your help Scott. Looks like i just needed to go through a couple growing pains along the way. I also got the capacitor soldiered in. I was tempted to soldier a wire to js10 will i was in their but i never got the full details on what i needed to do to get the launch controller working. Was it just a wire to js10 and then give it ground when you want the launch controller to be enabled. I know there is a little configuring in megatune to go along with it but is that all i need to do hardware wise?

I'm really glad it was something simple like that. After your previous thread and now this you had me stumped.

Ya me 2... Everything is on the up and up now. I just got back from a 30 minute highway datalog cruise to get my afr's in check. I ran into a boxter on the freeway. There was a bit to much traffic to hit anything more than 70, not that i would have even if there was room, but it was still fun. He just couldn't escape the blue monster's grasp... LOL I cant wait to get 10psi pumping through this thing.
