Im wondering how people tune their ****. I currently use MLV when the target tables transfer over from my MSQ. Sometimes the tables don't show up in MLV, so i use Autotune. I am just curious what other people use. What is the best to tune with?

MLV up here, although I think my target table may be a bit off. Some day in the not so distant future I might either pay someone to tune or get some time on a dyno to do it myself.

a few mlv passes, then cell by cell. Spark on the dyno is cell by cell of course.

I start with a basemap that's close, then go cell by cell.

I do the idle cells by hand, and will occasionally tweak others, but for the most part, MLV generated my fuel table.

How do you tune cell by cell?

I guess you guys are loading up your logged run in MLV and see where your actual AFR and target AFR is different, then change the cells?

Why is this better than letting MLV change them for you?

autotune for a few months of street driving.... verifying logs here and there every few days. really doesn't require any effort for me.

I use DLL. For the low map and cruise zones (upto 110kPa) I adjust each cell so that the VE table is a touch rich in that cell (say by 2%). For power tuning I carry out repeated WOT runs on the same stretch of road and adjust timing and fuel so that I achieve maximum area under the torque curve without knock. The water/meth injection makes this a little more complicated mid you.

Seems like a combination of MLV and changing cells is the easiest way to tune your AFR's. Thanks for all the input.

Cause i get someone else to drive while im on a base map, andi adjust everything until it feels right. I've also done it with one hand on the keybaord between shifts but i dont like doing it like that it kinda makes you swerve alil from time to time, when you look at the screen. After the tunning session feels strong and consistent i pull over save it and take a log and just watch my readings in general to see if anything is out of whack. After i get home i pull the log and go over it second by second looking for anomalys that would or could present themselves as running problems.
