Goes lean while cruising.
Will EGO correction cause my cruise AFRs to bounce back and forth from 14-16.8?
It only happens while cruising, acceleration AFRs are steady and all else is pretty good but while cruising it now goes lean instead of bouncing between 14.5-15.

It definitely can-- if the table isn't dialed in right there and EGO correction is trying to correct for it it will make an adjustment and then take a reading, adjust, read, adjust, read, etc. Depending on how it's setup (how much athority you've given it, how many steps apart the adjustments it makes are, and what size steps) it can get erratic. I suggest first off tune the map just right with EGO correction disabled. Then give it 5% authority in 1% steps, at least 72 ignition events apart. This will allow it to take small steps spaced out and only to correct so much and should fix the erratic-ness you're seeing if this is the cause. It's only there for very minor corrections-- so the key is to get the map as close to perfect as possible first and then let this make very minor adjustments...

That's your problem... you're studying during your MS time.

Get a datalog from a 10-15 min run. Open megalogviewer, open your datalog in the file, then open your MSQ, and set the target and compile the data. You wont have to manually tune the fuel map at all. That's how you tune with megasquirt.
With megalogviewer, you can set a precise 16.2-16.5 AFR map at cruise, without misfiring. Spend the next couple hours on that program, it simply rocks and makes the life so much easier.
On a new ms install, I can build a MAP in less than 2 hours without having to touch it a week later.
