Default Help a NOOB with MS1 V3.57

Ok I was giving an old v3.57. The previous owner wasn't sure what it came off or if it is even working.

I reverted the board back to stock, but I can't get a single tach signal. I will admit being totally retard with this and kinda need someone holding my hand and guiding me.

I am trying to get a basic edis tach output via jimstim v1.4. I want to comfirm the board works before starting to do the mods. I gotten all the other signals working but no tach... I am getting O2 signal so it isn't that problem.

Thank to anyone that can help (Joe, Brain)

Also I have search both MT and the Msefi, but there is a flaw in the search features and can't search for 3.57

Things like this can usually be figured out by tracing the input circuit with a scope, and seeing where the tach signal is lost. If you don't have access to a scope, we can try some other work arounds.

What were the mods you did to the 3.57 board?

How do you have the jumpers set for:
-XG1 / XG2
-JP1
-JP

I assume it's set for hall right now. Set your msq for basic trigger and see if you get tach. If not, what happens if you move the JP1 and JP jumpers to VR? Make sure that you spin R56 and R52 about 5-6 turns ccw and set your stim for VR/sin wave out.

Currently I have de-modded the board so it as if I ordered if fresh.

Originally I had
XG1/XG2 jumped
JP1 1/2 jumped
JP 2/3 jumped.

I had tried the VR but wasn't sure what settings to try on the R56/R52. I will give them a shot tonight.

Do me a favor and double check your jumpers and remove the XG1/XG2 jumper. You probably won't get a tach signal if set up with standard miata mods and the XG jumper is installed.
