Default Could I have the wrong firmware?

Hi, I'll try to keep this short and to the point . Bought new a diypnp2 off ebay from a vendor the firmware was bad wouldn't load. I was told to
get firmware from DIY every one I loaded first said wasn't the right one finally loaded the beta pnp2E and it worked. The car is still in stock form
and running somewhat ok but certain things don't work as they should A/C idle up, closed loop Idle, and cooling fans wont turn on.
Do I have the wrong firmware? Should the car even be running if it's wrong ? And should I start all over with new firmware? Thanks for any Help.

You're not supposed to load just anything you find and hope it works. You need the correct firmware for your ecu. The firmware download page is pretty clear about what you need, in your case MS2 Extra 3.4.2
If the car is running, you're most likely ok but If you want to make sure, you can always reload the firmware. Try loading a base map from DIY and start from there.

Thank you for the reply, and I did load what was recommended for the ecu but I had a message pop up that said firmware not compatable.
It said the same for the next as well. Now I know that the unit I have is not a PNP2E but that loaded with no message then I found the beta
firmware that also loaded. I've not been sure what to run but I loaded a tune from DIY bought the best tuner studio they had and now it runs
somewhat well. Still can't get closed loop to work had it twice idled nice at 850 but next start revs to 2000 and climb from there. Same
thing with a/c idle up when I try to adjust it stalls or revs to 4000 rpm. I know little about this I'm reading every night getting better still a long way to go.
Put my build such as it is on hold till I can sort out megasquirt. Again thanks for answering I know the questions must sound kind of stupid to you guys
who have it all worked out. I am working on it.

That's your log file, not your tune.

your tune is the CurrentTune.msq file. Best to rename it before uploading so people don't overwrite theirs.
