-12 degrees is what the thermometer said. I had to go outside and see if I could get my '94 to start up. The first crank was long and just barely failed to start. The second crank was dry and rough. The third crank...whoooaaaa boy...the third crank took a short breath of cold are and then she purred like a kitten!

I can now say that my tune is complete.

really? cause it still sounds like you need to tune your cold start settings to be able to start on the first crank in extremely low temps.

Well yes, I tweaked it a little more and would have to try again today to see if it will start on one crank. My OTM started on one long crank, so I am quite satisfied with getting the Miata to start on one long and two short cranks. Fortunately, I will never drive the car in anywhere close to this temperature or snow. I'm just happy that it will start and run in this frigid weather.

Still a 6 degree cold start. WTF Im glad I live in Texas. Took me to two tries this morning at 23 degrees. Granted my Cold Start isnt fully developed at all cause most the time the lowest it gets here is around 40 degrees.

Last time I tried mine in the cold, it was 18°F out and it started just as well as at 80°F.

I need to add in about 50% more cranking enrichment and about 50% less warm-up enrichment in the -10*F area.

And found out yesterday that I needed to add a bit more antifreeze to my coolant when my coolant temp gauge started flashing at me while going down the freeway.

In 40 degree weather I hit WUE all the time. I need to add more antifreeze myself too. Ever since I full boxed in my intercooler and radiator car likes to stay so cold.

IIRC the factory owner's manual mentions holding the throttle open for starts below 32 F.

0 F temperatures are normal up here during winter months. I'm running e85 throughout the year, no startup problems. Cranking PW around 900% in 32 F and going up. It does smell a bit funny when cold, though.

It's way harder trying to make it drivable with E85 before the engine warms up.

Not to dwell off topic. Has anyone tried WUE Analyze Live yet? I tried it the other day and hated it. Totally screwed up my WUE table.
