Default nb1 ms noob here

I've been trying to learn and wrap my head around ms for a quite a while now but It all still seems very foreign to me. I just need someone to point me in the right direction. I've tried using the search bar on here and google but all the information im finding is almost a decade old and very outdated. Im thinking of just getting an ms3 for my 2000 but I want to be sure I know how everything properly works and how to do it before I even order anything. Also some of the info just sort of throws in the nb1 with all the nb2 info and im not sure how different theyd be because of the vvt. Again, noob here. The community and mods on this site seem to be very hateful to "dumb" questions like these and newbies like me so I already I know im going to get hate. Idc

NB1 and NB2 are going to have the same internal hardware, with the exception of VVT. You could run an NB2 without touching VVT, though. The connectors are different between NB1 and NB2. Check out a chart like this: Megasquirt Product Comparison

MSLabs ECU's are laid out here: https://www.mslabs.gr/mslc.html

If you want to hit the easy button, I have a DIYPNP for an NB1 for sale.
