Default Help me start my diypnp

Hey guys, I just came in from trying to start my diypnp on my 95 miata with sequential injection. I couldn't get it to start, only stutter. I found two problems that i have, and i don't know if they're related to my tunerstudio tune or my wiring.

Two problems are:

1. AEM UEGO isn't connecting to laptop/ecu. I have the white wire from the aem wired into pin 1 of my db15 connector, and I believe that is connected to the 02 inside my box.

2. Bigger problem: Only cylinder 1 and three are getting gas. 1 and 3 plugs are wet, 2 and 4 are dry. I am running sequential injection with id1000 injectors. Req fuel set at 3.1 according to calculator with 1839 cc 4 cylinders 1000 cc injectors

What I Know:
All four cylinders are getting spark
I have the sequential injection chip set up inside, so maybe im missing a setting for that somewhere.

I am posting up my msq. and will post my excel jumper spreadsheet in a sec.

Thanks for all the help bros.

Okay here is my jumper set up spreadsheet. I also changed all my iginition settings to the settings on this page, didn't help at all.

As a side note, where do i go to set the timing to make sure it's at 10, like i had to do with the mspnp? Or do i not need that step with ms2?

Okay i figured out the wb02 problem. Now just have to deal with the two non firing injectors.

Did i need to wire a 12v and a ground to the spots on the sequential add on board?

I think i only would have needed that for low impedance injectors.

Going to sleep now, waking up early tomorrow to start messing with it before school, hopefully someone wants to help me!! I think it is a simple problem that i'm overlooking.

map is not setup for seq. injection. so it's not trying to fire 3 then 2.

It's not clear from your jumper spreadsheet if you got this or not, but make sure you're running two jumpers off the sequential ignition board over to your INJ3 and INJ4 outputs, as well.

You do need to set the 10 degree base timing, just like the MSPNP.

turn on the additional drivers in the seq. injection menu.

I was trying to do that last night, to change it from "standard drivers" to "additional drivers" but my drop down menu for that has no options.

I guess I'll try to reload the base map and see if the drop down menu appears.

I just tried to re-download the msq, and i found a problem. It says it cant find the controller definition file for signature: MS2ExtraRel 3.0.3h. The ecu definition on my tune is MS2Extra Serial310. I couldnt find out where to download the specific 3.0.3h firmware before.

ignore the issue, click okay.

you should be loading 3.1.3 if anything.

Its not letting me open the file. This is when im trying to open it in tunerstudio. Ive tried opening into its own temp file as well as a previously saved file. The window says "Can not find the controller definition file (ini, ecu) for Signature:MS2Extra Rel 3.0.3h
Please select the appropriate configuration file"

Thanks for helping me brain and sorry if im doing stupid things.

how are you opening the file?

typically, when I have a project open, and I'm opening a msq it was say the file you are loading doesn't match your project's firmware, yada yada do you want to convert? click okay.

sounds like you are opening this through windows, and letting it open in a temp project, but you dont have the firmware installed locally.

anyways: http://msextra.com/doc/ms2extra/files/alpha/

should be the ms2extra_alpha20090912.zip one

SWEET!!!
Okay so now i have the correct startup map loaded into tunerstudio, using that ecu definition you just told me. Now i have to reload the correct firmware form that file onto the ecu, using "download-MS2-firmware.bat" correct?

Thanks brain youre a boss

I'd still want at least the latest release loaded on my MS, which is 3.1.1: http://msextra.com/doc/ms2extra/files/release/

But really I'd load 3.1.3 personally.

Regardless, you shouldn't have to reflash the MS to load the map, you just need the fimware locally so it knows what to do with it.
