Default MS question.

Well I'm about to start piecing together parts for a turbo build on my 1.6 91 Miata. I'm about to have the parts to swap the rear end to the 1.8. So I'm going to go ahead and get me a standalone ECU, I've decided that I want MS. Since there are three different MS kits, which one is needed? I was looking at getting the MS3 unassembled kit and probably the MS3X to go with it. I'm mainly making sure I'm buying the correct kit.

I read the "What to buy" but it was outdated (I think) showing only the MS1, so I assume the MS3 kit is the same as having the MS1 kit only new features and better over all, correct? Or am I totally wrong and over thinking this completely. I do not mind if you call me a or because I'm probably sounding like one, lol. Thanks for any help you can send my way.

Yes you can go with the MS3 unassembled kit and the MS3x. Back when the what to buy guide was written, MS3 was not out yet. If you do some searching in the MS section there are a few posts about what all you need to buy and what circuits you need to build.

Okay, thanks. Yeah that is what I thought, since they seemed like they would be newer versions.
