Default Tune and error message

Miata always wants to stall when cold but it was manageable and ran great when warmed up. After getting it back from the body shop it seems harder to keep the car from stalling when cold. Goes from 2000 rpm to 0 quickly.
Checked all vacuum hoses and everything is connected.

Problem I always had: At start up the rpm goes up to 2000 rpm stay there for a quick second and drops down to 0 or close to it but hunts for a while and eventually stabilizes. Is there a setting to make the rpm stay up while the car is cold? Also the idle control is set to PWM closed loop. Should I be using stepper instead?

The ms2 is built by Brain and the tune is from Savington.

Here's the error message I'm getting when I load tune on laptop before connecting to car:

Have you even read the manual?

You ask the easiest questions, shouldn't even need to read the manual, just the menu options...

The miata does not have a stepper IAC valve, I'll tell you that much.

No he's not.

There is no magic button for you to push. You'll need to tune your idle settings. To do this you must understand what they do, and to learn this you start by reading the manual.

You're right. I don't know how to find the coolant based idle speed table, nor the settings to control the opening range of the IAC valve. I don't know how to make my miata run as a stepper, which is obviously much preferred over PWM and will clearly solve all my problems. I also can't drive my miata at all, because it runs so dang terrible, stalls like all the time

I also can't find the same error messages in twenty bazillion searches, I must be the only one to try and load a tune to EVER see those errors!!

Maybe I'll just ask the forum, have them retype the manual for me because I never finished the third grade. I'm sure they'll be cool about that.

one tune was for a microsquirt the other for a v3.0/3.57 mainboard.

just make sure all the i/os still match.
