Default Ms3 Basic - Brake Pressure Sensor

I've got the base optioned ms3 basic with a can wb02/obd2 module installed. I've also got a racecapture on order and plan to data log over the can bus.

Is there an easy way for me to feed a brake pressure sensor into the ms3 so that I can log it via an obd2 or can bus program?

My Ms3 basic has the following pins available on the db37 from rev.
-1 fused 12v
-2 ground
-3 sensor ground
-4 wideband in
-8/9 CanH/L
-19 Nitrous 2 Output
-20 EBC out
-23 Nitrous In
-36 VVT

TIA

I would assume if you found a 0-5v sensor that you could tee into brake pressure line you could possibly do it.

If you haven't figured out the plumbing yet for the sensor I'd suggest this. I used it on my last miata and it makes it plug and play.

Did you get the racecapture pro? or the new obd only one? I'd use the analog in on the RCP if you have the pro version.

If not then you need to find a spare analog in on the ms3 board. wideband is reserved only for wideband even though your passing that data to the ECU via CAN.

if you need IO expansion for more analog inputs something like this is probably your best bet.

You need a 0-5v input. Out of the ones listed you can use wideband in. The rest of them aren't 0-5v inputs.

If you just want one brake pressure sensor you should be able to use the wideband in, if you want 2 you need to come up with a different way to do it.

Something like the TinyIOx will need conditioning circuits built though.

I'm using this sensor, haven't wired it up yet though. Front is in my line lock spare port, rear will go in a 3/8-3/8 with an 1/8npt port union at some point, haven't gotten around to it though.

Talking with Rev he said the MS3 wideband analog input was reserved and could not be re-purposed for anything else. But maybe that's only for his version of the MS3.

Yep, looks like you are correct. So I take that back, none of those inputs will work for it, you will need some sort of extension board, or do some modifications inside the case.

You have a V2.3 unit. This unit has the following analog inputs available:

11 EXT_MAP Input
12 SPARE_ADC Input
16 EGO2 Input

You can use any of these 3.

Fortunately I have the 949 wilwood master cylinder so I have plenty of spots I can hook up an npt sensor too without having to T the lines.

I bought the new Racecapture model, I do not have the pro. The TinyIOx board looks like a good solution.

I don't seem to have any spare inputs on my MS3. Maybe it would be even cheaper to just send it to Rev and pay him to add the extra inputs. I should likely contact him to see what he says.

I think you missed Revs post. It has the 3 extra inputs.

TinyIOx board is a very DIY solution. You need to build conditioning circuits for all the inputs.
