Default Share coolant temp and sensors MS3x?

I am confused. Much of what is written about sharing sensors seems to be from the MSII and "eztherm" days.

Does any of the "edit .ini" stuff carry forward to the the MS3 and tunerstudio world or can adjustments to share coolant temp etc be done in software?

I am not opposed to opening up files and editing stuff. I just don't want to be wasting my time poking around in essential files when there is now a better way.

Thanks!

yes, but to keep stock ecu happy you want pull to bias resistor out of the ms (R7), otherwise alters the temperature scale that the ECU sees.

In MS2 and M3, you calibrate the sensors within the software.

I think in the wikidot page I have written what Bias value you'd use without R7 in place and sharing the sensor with the stock ecu.

Ok, without TunerStudio open I can't look around for it - but I am guessing what I need is Thermistor settings?

I thought that was for exhaust gas temperature sensors.

Thermostat, thermocouple, thermistor, thermos... My brain has the dumb.

CJernigan measured the CLT bias resistor in his NB stock ECU. I used his value with my parallel install, and it's pretty accurate. You can probably do an "advanced search" with his screen name and find the value he posted.

here's what I have in my writeup:

•If piggyback without R7: Use 1544 for CLT bias.
it's been a while though.

Only MS1 required tinkering with INC files - MS2 and later all simply pass the sensor calibration through the Tools -> Calibrate Thermistor Tables menu.

Awesome thanks. I will move other questions to my build thread.
