Default MS installed, no start

I have a stock 1994 miata with AFM still in place. Just installed a parallel MS. The car cranks but refuses to catch, also there is no backfire as that is what other people are experiencing when the car wont start. I checked spark and its there. How would i go about checking fuel and troubleshooting?

Edit: Forgot to mention, im using the 9495 PNP base map.

pull spark plugs, are they wet?

did you connect the map line to the MS from a suitable source?
does Megatune connect and show what look like appropriate values on all gauges?

So i go start the car to "wet the plugs" incase they dried up. The car started right up! then it completely died. Checked the plugs again and they were dry. I go start the car again and was able to keep it alive by pressing the gas, otherwise it would drop to 0 then try to kick start itself if it didnt die. My wideband is showing 8.9 when im holding it at ~1k rpm. Also, sounds like it only running on 2 cylinders.

about the gauges, the coolant temp gauge is not functional, its "reded" out. The air:fuel gauge is stuck on 14.7 while my gauge is going all over the place from 8-~9.5. Its running VERY rich and stinking up my garage.

is the MAP line connected? You didn't answer that. I can see that causing the exact condition you are describing. MAP would be whatever BARO is so MS would think you are WOT and it would dump fuel.

Do you have a wideband or are you looking at your narrowband gauge?

If it sounds like it's running on 2 cylinders have someone pull spark plug wire 1 while you keep the car running. If it doesn't change the way the car is running it means cylinder one(and most likely #4) isn't doing anything. If it shuts off start over and pull #2(plug #1 back in). If that makes no difference cyl 2(and 3) isn't working. You probably fried a coil pack.

And what's that thing about inverted spark?

Who built the MS?

The MAP line is connected and is Tied off to a boost gauge and the intake manifold. The line is slightly on the small side but it still fits, i hope that doesnt cause a problem. I have a Wideband.
Testing for spark is a little weird. while i was keeping the car alive, i had someone pull the wires out. For some odd reason, when some wires (i believe plugs 2 and 4) were pulled, the engine got SMOOTHER, or so it seemed like it.

I am not sure what this "inverted spark" is.

Right now, im going to go try to burn a regular non Hi-Res firmware and see if anything happens.

PS. The MS was built by another member on the forum, this was a unit.
