Default Mspnp9093 Major Problemssssss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!help

I was going to reflash the firmware. I did everything right. I checked the com port and it was com5. That is the only one that would work. I unhooked the coil ignitor on the fenderwheel. I clicked the firmware,Hit enter, enter again. selected com5. Then it said failed. I was on the phone with Matt. He said it was probably the serial usb cable. And it should be fine but I needed to get that straightened out.
I found out now why the com port won't work. The light on the MS won't come on. I don't think it has power.
Everytime I try to open megatune to check port. It its says msns-????? >boot ?????????in the message.
What do you think. Fuses are not blown.

You somehow corrupted the MS's firmware/MSQ. This causes megatune to not recognize the MS. Reflash your firmware to get it to be responive again. You can use the download_firmware batch file in the project folder.

I had something similar and ended up having to use the boot jumper to make it work. I thought I was dead but the boot jumper brought me back (and thanks again for the DIYAutotune guys for leading me to that, their support is great).

If you corrupted the firmware you have to use the bootjumper to reflash correctly.

Sounds great. The light on the ms doesn't work anymore. Does that mean there is no power?

Cool, when I jump it? Do I have to keep it crossed the entire time of down loading, or just till it starts? What did you use.

Can I get a small piece of wire and put it in the hole's.

Insert jumper with power off, relflash, depower and then remove jumper. Do not deviate from that.

That worked.
Note: A bread tie is a perfect jumper.

Hey guys, I installed my Iat sensor. I plugged the wires into the 1st and 6th. Then I downloaded no afm firmware. Downloaded the base map. Changed the o2 settings to wbo2. Turned the ms off. Plugged the in connector for the coils. Confetti was falling from the ceiling.......... And NO START.

I repeated again. Same thing.

I switched firmware and everything back to afm. It started.

Any suggestions?

Apart from the IAT sensor, why would there be different firmware for AFM vs. no AFM?

Is the IAT sensor giving you a reading? Could you take a data log of the no-start issue?
