nice that looks like it will fit very well is it compatible with the stocker, and you just run wires for VTps to MS or is this gonna be a custom job?

Is this necessary for a megasquirt install? I'm buying up a bunch of parts for my '00 Megasquirt I install and I want to make sure I'm not missing anything.

Not necessary but it makes boost control and a few things like AC control nice as well.
Considering you have a coldside and not a turbo I don't think there are as many advantages. Then again i haven't messed with TPS values much.

It's great when you get sellers who don't know what things are worth

I asked him if I could buy a pigtail, though, too, and he gave me big fat no

Not sure what Mapdot is, but lean tip-in is much more of a problem on blown engines than turbo engines, and a good, high resolution TPS with a gnarly tune is the best way to fix that.

Weird, I asked him that couple months ago, and he said for an extra $15 I could. But I didn't even end up buying the TPS from him...too expensive

BTW: I've posted that same auction about 3 times on here. I'm surprised nobody jumped on it sooner!

Pfft, for $15 extra he can suck it anyway.

The only auction I saw you post was one that ended at like $50, haha.

Yeah, that was the most recent. I gave up posting the $10 buy-it-now auction that was running for months

Glad somebody finally snatched it up. If you need the pin-out diagram, I think I posted it here somewhere. If you can't find it let me know and I can get it for you, if you care.

Found it, thanks

I'm gonna get some extra weatherpacks from the yard today to make my own goddamn connector.

Yup. Fits great. Wiring is left up to the user, however.

Carl,

Your 2000 Throttle Body already has a variable TPS that will work just fine with MegaSquirt.
