Nice looking car OP. I'm glad you got the car running well.

I hoping to learn how to tune myself once my MSPNP2 comes in.

Starting it up from cold in the AM, it surges from 1000-2300 rapidly for at least 5 minutes while warming up at idle. It goes away once you either start driving it or the temps get into the 180s.

Can you upload your latest map? We can probably take a look-see and point out anything obvious.

Might be a few days guys. I may be going to the hospital with a hernia that has reared its ugly head... Ugh.

Well I felt well enough to go out and do a cold start log... Here's a file of the cold start log and the existing tune...

I'm all ears guys...

Add a bit more WUE so you're not running lean when it's warming up.

Warmup Enrichment. If you are using TS (Tuner Studio) its under the Startup/idle button and then Warmup Enrichment at the bottom of the menu.

Do you have a WUE ON/WUE OFF indicator on your TS dashboard? There is also ASE (Afterstart Enrichment) that may be playing a roll here. There should be an "ASE Taper" and an "ASE Percentage" table in there as well. I'm at work so could not view the stuffs

Well this little car is going kicking and screaming into the night, so to speak. Drove it to work today, then to meet the surgeon who will be cutting on me next friday, and on the way home the clutch pedal was starting to lose a little pressure. Got home, drove it onto the four post lift and bled the slave cylinder. Looks like I'll be replacing this unit, as well. These little cars are amazing, but man I constantly have to remind myself it's 22 years old and components are worn or nearly worn out. Oh well.

Its always the little things that will continue to nag at you

Do yourself a favor and replace the rubber clutch line with a braided stainless one. I believe 949Racing and TrackspeedEngineering both sell these. The OEM ones don't seem to last very long, so as long as you are in there, might as well future proof/upgrade it!

I've had to replace them every 2 years on both my NA and NB, and always used OEM ones, usually ordered through Rosenthal while I was getting other bits and pieces.

This one was upgraded when I helped my son do the Flyin' Miata Happy Meal clutch kit. So that's out of the way...Believe I recommended we replace the slave at that time, but who knows. It def. wasn't done...

I have to replace my master about every other year and slave yearly. Its simple to do but damn is it annoying. Noob question about MS: will the TS/MegalogViewer/MSPNP work with windows 7 if I bought all of it before 7 came out. My shitty Lenovo is about 3 years over due for a new OS. P.S. I know jack **** about computers...if you couldn't already tell.

Yes, just download a new copy from the website and register it with your credentials that get emailed to you when you paid for it last. Then copy over your tune folder from your Documents/TunerStudioProjects/YourAwesomeProjectName into the same location in Win7

Ok thanks. So if I got the MS with a turbo package from BEGi where would I look for these credentials?
