Default EBC and Actuator

Can I remove my actuator can completely, if I'm using the EBC w/ MS? Or is it still needed?

I read this on a Nissan forum:

"In the thread you're thinking of, the kid had an electronic boost controller. Kind of redundant to have two boost controllers fighting each other. the EBCs usually work by stopping up the vac lin going to the actuator itself and when desired boost is reached, it lets vac through and the wastegate opens."

No because all the EBC does is show the "can" less pressure then their actually is, but in the end it is the "can" that regulates the wastegate.
