Default Not your usual timing question

Hey guys, there's a local here that had his car "tuned" back home. He told me the car pretty meh, and they couldn't figure out why. Well I found out why. They kept the timing locked!

So this entire time, this sucker has been running 10 degrees of timing on his entire map! He's driven the car over 4000-5000 miles like this. The car is stock 1.8 with a MSM turbo. Do y'all think he did any damage to the car?

Motor runs fine, doesn't feel very fast, but idles fine, and revs smooth. I haven't checked his compression though.

Severely retarded timing melts the brake-fluid reservoir if you don't have a heat shield, but that should be pretty much it.

That's nuts, he ran 10 degrees for so long. I'd imagine he would have at least burnt some exhaust valves at least for driving that long like that.
