Default Knock Sensor settings on MSPNP9900

Hi All,

I 've got one of the new MSPNP9900 ecu's running on a stock 99. I was looking at the knock sensor settings and wondering if they work on a stock setup. They come in the basemap that came with the ecu turned off. The settings in the window appear to be the same as are in the MS2-Extra hardware manual.

My questions to all of you-

Has anyone messed with this?

What would be the proper settings for using the stock Miata knock sensor? (It references using the GM sensor in the manual)

Is it already wired into the MSPNP setup through the stock harness and if so which knock input pin should you select on the settings window? I know it is not coming through one of the Aux pins in the MSPNP harness.

Thanks
Chris

The MSPNP is wired for the knock sensor connector in the stock harness, but the adjustment pots are not dialed in. They need to be adjusted for your specific motor. The sensor input is turned off in the tune so you don't expect it to be working out of the box.

So, when I open the knock sensor settings window, I can only change the knock input pin setting. It looks to me that both of these select an pin from the DB15 connector. So what do I select there? Knock input location and Remote knock input are both grayed out.

It should be ADC2.

Make sure your project is set up for MicroSquirt Module.
