It was designed by a linux user... so nothing is drag and drop.

VMware and Parallels will NOT work for you on your G4. You'd need an Intel mac to run them.

The VirtualPC that Sam is offering is your best bet for what you want to do.

If he doesn't know what FTP is then obviously lots of things could be overly complicated.

So wait, you dont have a PC and you have been using a mac for all of 2 days?

Transmit is a mac program you use to access ftp servers. Start googling my young padawan.

I am starting to doubt your ability to figure out virtual pc and installing windows xp into it.

I think installing megatunix will be much simpler for you at this point, in all honesty.

Problem is, the virtual pc app is in parts which you have to assemble using a mac program. Then you have to use toast to burn the program to a cd, then install it from a cd, and then mount the xp iso in virtual pc to install it.

You will much faster sort out megatunix.

OOOOH, this is for in car tuning and logging.

Well yea this will be complicated to get going on a mac, for you at least. Plus you have to deal with the possibility of megatune not liking to work through a virtualization and a usb converter.

At least try to get it running on your mac, its not that hard man, just a couple of command lines.

right, it wont install. Windows requires an x86 or x64 processor, the g4 uses ppc.

I tried installing megatunix before going into all these other options and wasnt able to...The command lines didnt do anything...

I apparently dont have all the prerequesites, and cant just d-load them from apple if u catch my drift...

Really bummed now, thought Id have the best of both worlds...Mac for personal, PC for tuning....but now it looks like I may end up with neither....
