So I'm considering building myself an MS3 to get away from the PNP. My main question is over idle control.

I noticed on the comparison chart that they both use a PWM 2 wire system. But I've also read that the MS3 has a much better idle control that is closer to the stock system and can handle the variances in load from A/C, temp changes, etc.

Also, does the MS3 have the knock sensor circuitry on board or does it rely on the knocksense unit? How does it compare to a MS1 board with knocksense?

Can someone please explain, or point me in the direction of where I can find how the systems are different?

All MS variants have temperature input to their idle control. MS3 has a better closed loop algorithm, A/C input, and in general uses its extra processing power to control the idle better than MS1.

MS3 does not currently have an onboard knock conditioner.
