JimStim Question
I am building my JimStim v1.4 but I am following the instructions on this site JimStim - The Megasquirt Stim with a Wheel Simulator
On #3 it said to install D3, says there is an issue with D3 that is being investigated. Since this is a v1.4 board, do I go ahead and install it?
Finishing up the board it left off C3, C4 and D4. Do I just go ahead and install these as well?
TIA

D4 appears to be an overvoltage protector. It's a zener installed backwards between the linear regulator's output and GND, but there's no current limit on it. I'd leave it off. If it ever activates, it'll kill itself anyway.
D3 looks pretty damn poinless on the schematic, unless you're using the RS232 port (you aren't). I'd forget it.
C3 is just there to permit you to emulate a VR sensor. Go ahead and install it, but you won't need it.
C4 you definitely need. It's part of the power regulator circuit.
