Default 1990 1.6L G28 Turbo Tune Help

So long time lurker first time poster. been doing a ton of reading and searching on tune settings and getting a good map built. Just got the turbo kit and need to get it running. it had a na tune my friend did but i accidently lost it when i updated the firmware. Im still learning tuner studio to which isnt helping me much. I think it is the cranking and priming pulses are too high. i can smell fuel when it cranks too.

Can you post a data log of the problems you're having?

I will as soon as I get home. Does the map look about right and I'm just struggling?

Are you running stock injectors and stock fuel pressure?
It seems to be having sync issues with the CAS.Can you get a composite log of the CAS signal?

Stock fuel injectors and fuel pressure. It might be a spark issue my timing light only goes off every once in a while but on cyl 3 goes off more frequently does that seem like a setting in the tune or a bad coil? Dont know if this log is what you want. also from what i read today about batch fire vs sequential pretty sure i have to be setup for batch fire since i dont have a trigger wheel thats obvious on the crank pully.

has not been edited I'll redo it when I get home today. As far as setting the ignition up and it not having spark often on the timing light could that be an ecu setting or a fried coil?

Hopefully this log should work. got it to start for the first time today. Under the ingnition settings i had it set to falling curve instead of rising curve and it started right up. Ill set timing when i get off work tomorrow. How should i proceed on tuning from here

Stock injectors on a g28? I'd be extra carfull...

Here is how to avoid your first problem, once you get it running ok again. Save the tune file in a seperate folder, in you documents or something. Call it, A tune that runs ok. Something like that so you know it's only a good ground zero, in case of emergency.

Are you using the base map from Diy? Sounds like it would b a pretty solid place for you to start the tune from.

Also, be absolutely sure you have turned on boost afr protection. This will help you to avoid total meltdown. Turn the first cut off at like 1 second. It will be annoying, but will help Zero it into a sage place quick.

Go read the last couple pages on "my 1st watercooled turbo" you will find two different ways to tune in boost.

Try reversing the Ignition Input Capture setting.

Afr on stock injectors will need to be around 14, maybe less. The ff injectors will idle fine at 14.7

Got the flow force injectors today all flow matched around 670cc and took the car for its maiden voyage around the neighbor hood. it idles good when cold and hot and cruised alright so far. between 2500 and 3500 rpm and 170ish kpa it falls on its face. ill start to do a small pull and it will hit this point and loses all power. fuel looks like its in the ballpark with the rest of the area around those cells. looking at my spark table it retards quite a bit in the same area. What would you guys do?

Check your boost cut off. Maybe fuel cutting.
