So I've been running my Megasquirt just fine for almost a month. Gotten a good base tune and car runs fine. Took it out today to wire in launch control and boost control before installing my turbo kit. When i opened it I noticed this:

I have multiple questions now. What does this circuit do. Says it controls 5V but then why is everything still working? And what would cause this to happen if everything else still works?

Second question. What pin is the clutch switch coming from the adapter board. Have tried searching and can't find one pointing to 9495.

Thanks.

Just found this post: https://www.miataturbo.net/megasquir...-1990-a-76237/

Which points to 1V being the clutch switch. Ill go with that unless someone says differently.

Still wondering about the blown cap and charred 1E input though.

Nothing goes to 1E. those caps can just blow, they've been know to have bad batches. but otherwise it happens when you touch ground to power.

They'll blow if they're installed backwards. Everytime.

I know they are installed correctly. I have been working in the engine bay so maybe i shorted something by mistake moving around wires. Ill get some replacements from RadioShack and go from there. Thanks.
