Default There are too many Megasquirts.

MS1, r2.2
MS1, r3.0
MS1, r3.57
MS2, r3.0
MS2, r3.57
MS3, r3.0
MS3, r3.57
MS3, r3.0, with MS3X
MS3, r3.57, with MS3X
MSPnP
MSPnP2
RevMS2
DIYPnP
MS3Pro

And that's before you add in:

Which ignition input circuit are you using?

Which ignition output circuit are you using?

Did you modify your MS2-based system to add sequential injection?

Did you screw it up?

Did you follow DIY's build instrustions? Braineack's build instructions? The generic MSExtra build instructions? Some unholy amalgam of the three? Are you like me and you went completely off-book and came up with your own custom mods? Did you try to copy something that Jason vaguely described, and fail?

I'm almost afraid to answer anybody's questions any more, for fear that I will have missed the one sentence in another thread on a different forum where they said "it's built like X, except that I modified it for Y following instructions translated from Aramaic written by Z," whereupon I look like a tool.

Motion that everyone be forced to upgrade to MS3Pro, under penalty of cake.

So,

Free MS3Pro units for everyone currently running an older MS?
Is that what you're offering? AWESOME.

PS: You really, really, REALLY dislike Jason don't you? LOL this is like the 10th thread I read just this week where you go out of your way to point out a flaw in 1 of his posts

If you've already paid for one version or another, free upgrades for life.. That's the way it should be.

Tea and cake for me, please.

Agreed. Before Reverant sent me his manual, I tried reading through the mega manual site. Needless to say, I didn't get very far before my brain turned to mush.

Nope. We just change the EULA to make upgrading mandatory.

I actually don't dislike Jason. In fact, I respect his talent as an engineer. I find his style of argument to be irritating sometimes (particularly in the political threads), but I don't hate him.

Make mine Chocolate please.

This is what we get for having an ECU that isn't controlled by a single corporation. It makes mods really easy if you know what you're doing. Problem is, it makes mods really easy if you don't know what you're doing.

Perhaps we've identified the issue? That, plus the passage of time and march of technology.

I, for one, generally abstain from the MS threads these days because my direct experience is on the original MSPNP9093. I don't have much relevant to contribute anymore (kind of like this post).

HOWEVER, I think I may have found a role. If Joe's worried about looking like a tool, I can easily swoop in and look like a much bigger tool so that Joe's pristine reputation remains intact! Kind of like providing Close Air Support. I have a lot of experience with that.

When did we get this smiley BTW? That's what you get for always using the quick reply box, no smileys.

This thread could have been an epic analysis of the MS product line and its detrimental fragmentation with pie charts and timelines and ****, but no. It was just a little soft whining in the night.

MT_translate.pl: at first I was semi hard "/" and then I went soft "r"
