Default Serial Test Port FAILED!!!!

So im not sure where im going wrong but whenever i go to test my serial port the test fails. Ive changed the baud rate on my PC to 115200 and am using the correct COM port number. Ive now officially tired THREE pcs, two Windows 7 64bit machines(HP and Acer) and one Windows XP with a built in serial port. For the two windows 7 machines i used the following adapters:

http://www.diyautotune.com/catalog/u...tune-p-67.html

http://www.tripplite.com/en/products...xtModelID=2430

dont no where to go from here but im frustrated as hell.

Which version of TunerStudio are you using?

Have you disconnected the stock TPS?

Have you removed the ST SIGN fuse and can you hear the fuel pump priming?

Does the car start or try to catch even with the laptop disconnected?

Make sure it's plugged into the port that it's trying to read. I use COM3. Also, try turning the key to on, then opening up TS.

Disconnect the stock TPS, it won't communicate otherwise!

Sure you've downloaded the correct drivers for windows?

I had issues with my serial-to-USB-adapter until I downloaded it, and then it worked like a charm.

(This could be elementary, but since you haven't mentioned it, I'll just say it. So now, either I look like an idiot, or you do )

You have to disconnect your stock 1.6 manual TPS if your 1.6 DIYPNP or MSPNP is set up for v-TPS.
