Default Weird issues with launch control

I took the Miata to the drag strip a couple weeks ago to mess around. I currently had the launchg control set up at 5100 or something like that. (from previous owner) and I wanted to adjust it down. So I adjusted it then burned to ECU , launch control then went all the way away. I restared car, tried diff settings, still nothing. Then later I tried it and it was bacjk to what it started out at. Was using TunerStudio.

what's the deal?

the settings on mine are:

launch on
retard ignition above 3800
retard to 10
enable launch when tps is above 40 ( tps goes from 24 to 180, so this is like pressing about 1/2 an inch of the pedal down)
lauch contro hard limit 4000

variable launch off
flat shift arming 2000 ( switches out of launch mode above this RPM, i dont go below this really after i start moving)
flat shift redard above 5200
retard to 10
flat shift hard rev limit

launch control hard cut limiter type is spark cut only, other two are fuel and spark

I know on my 97, i had not only wire into the clutch switch, but also a wire that led to the transmission as well, im not sure if the 90's had that

was TS showing that LC was active? You can add a guage that does that... accually, an indicator to be more accurate

You mean it dissapeared from TS completely? If so it may be a firmware issue.

Have you tried reburning the firmware? It might be a glitch in the matrix.

Check the Megasquirt stickies. There's a software install thread and Brainiack's how to thread has software install info as well.

In a nutshell, you have to download the software, maybe modify the firmware depending on your sensors, copy some files, jump 2 pins inside the MS and upload. It's not too hard. Especially if I can do it. I'm computer illiterate.

You may want to try reloading the tuning software also.

I'm just guessing but it sounds like a software issue.I'm sure someone with a bigger brain will chime in.
