Default Needs helps, no output to cop#2!

Ok here's the lowdown:

ms1 with joe's spark mod. I initially used 300ohm pullup resistors but the cops wouldn't fire in batch, either 1 or 3, and 2 or 4 (so If I unplugged 2 cops out of the 4) then it would sputter. So after some searching, I decided to add another resister in parallel to the original pullup resistors. The pullup resistance is now at about 140ohms on each spark channel.

That was enough and all the cops are firing except cylinder 2. And i have like 7 or 8 more good ones and switched everything around.. #2 cop is good. The motor utterly dies if I unplug any of the other cops including#4

In about 20 mins I will put up a log of the tooth/trigger counters.

Basically, I'm wondering is this typical? I feel like the pullup resistance shouldn't be that big of a deal and am wondering what the root cause could be, and if the problems are related?

Thanks for any help!

This seems odd.

On my last car, I used something around 270-300 ohms pullup, and had Toyota COPs wired in batch mode as well. I'd wager that dozens of folks have run a similar arrangement as well.

Could it be that you have a problem on the primary side either with the +12 supply or the ground?

Well looking at the tooth counter in megalog viewer seems pointless. but heres what it looks like lol

I checked with multimeter at cop pins and it had 12v/ground.. Anything is possible but like I said it was purring like a kitten on the stock ecu for a few thousand miles, and I soldered the harness pretty beefy

The trigger counter and tooth counter corresponded exactly with each other. I'm not sure what a good one looks like in tuner studio...
If anyone thinks the tunerstudio one would help I can go get a screenshot of it

I was wondering though, is it possible my cops are 12v trigger? (can miata 5v fire the 12v trigger cops?)

ok, update: after going through everything carefully I got pissed and with an aww f*%& it attitude I used like 50 resistors to end up with like 96ohms on each pullup. It's hitting on all 4 now?!?! What do you guru's make of this? Are there any other resistors in the circuit that I could check resistance to just make sure theyre all correct?.
Huge relief to have it functioning, although something has to be amiss.
I feel 1:if I go any lower resistance, the transistors could get effed sooner right? (is that the only component with chance of damage?)
and 2:WTF?
