Default What is newest MS version out? What is next release date?

I'm looking at buying MS for a turbo build and have heard a newer version will be released; however I'm not sure if it is already available?

Does anyone have a link to info on this? What are the main upgrades/releases over the current version?

Thanks!

Well there are three different MS's, MSI, MSII, and MSIII, which each have very different prices and features, but the versions refer to the development stage of each. What are you asking about? Models or versions?

If its versions, just get the latest. If its models, you're probably fine with MSI, however if you can afford MSII get it, it has better resolution and a few other handy features. MSIII as far as I know isn't terribly useful for us, with lots of 4+ injector drives, SD card datalogging, and more input/outputs thingys. Read about them on diyautotune.com.

Right now, you can't buy the MS3; that leaves you with two options, MS2 and MS1. If you can afford the extra ~$60, get the MS2. If not, get the MS1. Note that if you have an NB, you need the MS2.

So, you want me to post my MS1, right next to my MS2, right next to my MS3, right next to my GPIO?

I could do that as well minus the GPIO...

But my picture would be (5) MS-Is, (3) MS-IIs, (2) Microsquirts, and the MS-III. Do I win?

Nope. I have plenty more to add. Currently:

1 MS-1, 2 MS-IIs, 3 DIY-PNPs, 2 Microsquirts, the MS-3, the GPIO, and several Innovate boards (1 DL-32, 1 TC-4, 1 SSI-4, 1 LM-1 in a better case with circular mil-spec connectors) and other custom ****.

A draw at best.

But only after I do it. But this all still comes down to us figuring out why we randomly run on 2 cylinders.

I think a lot of people underestimate the benefits of sequential injection.

It usually won't help power that much, but it can/does help drivability a lot, and often, once you get the injection timing correct it makes fuel and accel enrichment easier to tune.

Also, the MS3 is 2x/4x as fast as the ms2 (50MHz with a 100MHz co-processor that we use to drive all the ignition and injection outputs). Several people have noticed differences in smoothness and drivability even without sequential in areas of the code we didn't change (which leaves only compiler changes and the faster processor to "blame" for the improvements).

We'll figure that one out. I don't think it's firmware but one way or the other I'm sure we'll get to the bottom of it.

Maybe becuase the Megamanual http://www.megamanual.com/MSFAQ.htm#sequential implies that its 'not all that'

I do prefer my car now it's running sequential injection, small opening times makes for a sucky idle.

Hopefully I will get all new grounds ran this weekend. Then see if I still have the problems. Other then that and idle settings being off, the car has been running good with MS3.

i don't think the 2-cyl issue has anything to do with grounds. Mine never did this until I went from MS-III back to MS-II, I have a feeling it's how the cpu is sitting in the socket...but it's completely retarded and not cool.

Whats the word on controlling VVT with MS3? Whats new to the MS3 that allows this possibility? I will soon need to decide between ms2, and ms3.
