Default What timing are you running at idle?

I see a lot of you are running 10 degrees at idle, but after having trouble getting a smooth idle with a decent AFR I decided to mess with the timing a little bit. First, I tried 15 degrees and modifying the fuel with better results, then tried 20 degrees with even better results. I settled at 20 because I just could not imagine the engine needing more advance at such low speeds and it seems to be working very well at this timing. My idle KPA is between 32 and 35 and 1200rpm cold/ 750-850 warm.

WOW that's a lot of timing at idle!

I use 10deg btdc and that gave the most stable idle with AFR's ar 13:1 that's with 600cc injectors

I run about 14 degrees at idle, and I've run 16 before and heard people make the above comment about it being alot of timing...

But some vehicles run as much as 20 degrees stock. 14-16 seems to work well for me.
