Default Faulty MAP sensor?

So, I noticed that my idle was very rich (10:1) so i got out the laptop to take a look at things. I noticed that the MAP sensor was bouncing between 44 and 42 kpa. So i revved the car and let it come down off 6k rpms and the MAP stayed at 42 then went to 44 kpa. My BEGi boost gauge is reading approx 22in Hg of vacuum. If my math is correct that is about 26kpa. I would tend to trust the mechanical boost gauge before the map sensor. Has anyone had this discrepency?

Any ideas?

I'd first check your MAP sensor line to make sure there are no leaks, and see what it reads with the engine off.

Maybe tee the boost gauge off of the map line and see what it reads there? I checked and didnt see any obvious leaks. Maybe i can cap off one end and put the 1 man brake bleeder on it and see if the line holds vacuum.

Unplug the Map sensor line from the intake manifold and blow on it, that'll tell you if it leaks.
