Default Need Help With Selecting a Tank for Track

Hello everyone, I am in the process of purchasing a Hydramist for my MSM. But before I do that, I need help selecting a suitable tank to be mounted in the trunk.

The MSM is not my DD and usually spent most of her mileage at the track. Therefore, I would need a tank that would handle anywhere between 25-30 minutes session. My guess, a 1 gallon tank would be enough. Oh btw, I would be using a 0.9 or 1 jet to fuel my GT3071R.

In addition, I would need a tank that can accomodate a foam to prevent slosh during track days.

Well, there you have it. Thank you for reading.

I think 1 gallon would be plenty with that nozzle. You could top it off between sessions easily.

Do a search of Magna's or Joe's threads. You'll be surprised with the info you'll find. Magna uses a lot of methanol and Joe's thread on installation is beyond compare.

Not so much an abundance of methanol as my mix is only 15%-22% methanol but i use alot of the mix in general. To the original poster knowing your nozzle size means nothing plz post on the Flow per minute or hour in gallons or cc's and rated pressure u expect to use on the system and then the math will be rather simple for us. Given the non DD service i would suggest a 3 gallon fuel cell or plstic container of some sort. Better to have to much watter than to run out mid apex.

Whats the biggest tank anyone has put in the trunk? Could I set it up for a DD to only have to fill the tank when I gas up? Has anyone done this?

I'm just looking for convenience with fill ups and adding water. I'm already going with a FMIC and was also thinking about H2O injection but only if I can find a way to fill it just when I fill up with gas, which is about every 2 weeks.
