Default Valve cover breather necessary? JRSC & Water Injection related

On my 1.6 with the JRSC I've got a tube that goes from the valve cover to the metal tube that connects the air intake to the supercharger (well, the throttle body, then the SC). Anyway, I am adding water injection and the nipple used on the metal tube for the breather tube would be a perfect place to tap for the water injection nozzle.

Can I get rid of the breather tube and install a filter to the atmosphere on the valve cover?

Yes. Most people don't like running water through their compressors though. Probably no big deal with the JRSC.

I researched nozzle placement and it seems that pre-sc was a good thing on a eaton-roots type sc.
