Well, I have one in my room right next to me that I paid 50 for, I also have some crinkle coat spray paint next to it I got for 8 dollars, so I can clean it and paint it for a total investment of $58 dollars.

I tried, but unfortunately I cannot find any rust colored GTX/Capri valve covers period, let along for less than 150 dollars.

However, I have found several in the ~30 dollar range that can be cleaned up and painted something prettier like black or red.

Just sayin =P

GLWS.

Not to thread crap (anymore than already has been done), but who buys a valve cover based on its condition? Unless it's been run over by a truck, it's 6 to a half-dozen.

step 1: get dirty valve cover

step 2: spay lose dirt with cleaner/starting fluid/gasoline/whatever, then throw in dish washer for stuck-on dirt.

Step 3: buy spray paint. prime and paint valve cover.

step 4: Advertise as awesome. Profit.

I don't know why anyone would want one of these anyways. All it is doing is letting dust/dirt into your timing belt area which will greatly reduce the life of the belt. It's designed to be used with the timing covers the 323 has. Not by itself.

You missed a step, and that is filling in all the 323/Capri only holes on the cover that you don't need on a Miata.

Non interference motor, who cares if you lose a few more miles from the belt. Looks good to me. GLWS.
