I've been thinking about this a lot lately and the car hasn't run in 4 years since I popped either the rigs or valve seals in its stock 1.6 with a modified greddy/megasquirt setup. With life/work and a new house, i realistically don't have the time in the foreseeable future that I'd need to devote to getting it back together and up, running, tuned, etc...

Long story short, I'd ideally like to sell the whole project off as a large lot. It's more or less everything one would need for a mid 200's whp car. a rod/piston/turbo upgrade would take you well above that, obviously. My original plan was to re-assemble the car with the stock internal'd 2002 1.8 and run/tune it in the low 200's, then do a basic rod/piston rebuild and swap out to a larger borg turbo for mid 3's and commence with breaking the rest of the driveline. :-)

As I mentioned, the collection of parts is more or less complete, minus some odds and ends (the occasional bolt, nut, or bracket, etc...) and a downpipe (which should be a very easy job with the low mount Absurdflow and vband 3" ArtTech exhaust.

No pictures of anything at the moment, as I got too damn busy moving things out of my shop and forgot to snap them as I went along. I can change that over the next week or two, depending on interest.

The highlights/relevant bits, partswise:

Merlot 1993 roller

• body in 8/10 condition, some chipping./scuffing on the front and rear bumpers from living and parking in the city for a little under a year.
• 14" NB rims with brand new Dunlop Direzza SP Sport rubber that've never been on the car
• KYB AGX shocks and Racing Beat springs (I THINK, they were on the car when I bought it and I honestly don't remember if that's accurate)
• 1.8 torsen rear end from a 1996(?)
• Merlot hard top - could use a little TLC in a couple small places where it's chipped a bit, but looks fine from 5 feet. good fitment and seal.
• 70k or so miles on the body, if i recall correctly. Can get a more accurate number next time I'm at my shop

Original style AbsurdFlow low mount T2 manifold in stainless, for 1.8: Absurdflow Original

T25/T28 hybrid chinacharger from Bell, never installed on the car - Chinacharger T25/T28 Hybrid BEGi

T25 turbine outlet to 3" v-band adapter for a future v-band downpipe (also have the other half of the v-band for the exhaust side of the downpipe, so you can fab the downpipe with vbands on both sides, obviously)

oil feed line, and oil return already plumbed into the drilled/tapped pan

Trackspeed inconel turbo stud kit (manifold is drilled/tapped at M8x1.25 right now and would just need to be drilled/tapped for M10x1.5 to use these): Trackspeed Engineering

ArtTech full 3" exhaust with magnaflow high flow cat, all v-bands, with that Dynomax VT muffler that has the internal butterfly (there were some threads on it that I could dig up)

Reverent built MS3 for this motor/chassis combo

full wiring harness for the 2002, for any connectors and whatnot that might need to be pillaged

rx7 550cc injectors that could use a cleaning, and were running in the car previous to me popping the stock 1993 1.6

ACT XT clutch and PP with maybe 10k turbo'd miles on it from the previous turbo installation. Should have plenty of life left and hold what this motor/turbo combo will put down.

CX Racing front mount IC kit. one of their universal deals, with aluminum piping and black silicone couplers, etc... 7x22" core, or something around that size

working DSM blowoff valve (hasn't been used in a efw years, obviously, so probably needs a cleaning)



That's the big/relevant stuff. I may have missed some components, but that gives you the gist of it. I'd ideally like to sell it as a whole package, since it's damn near complete and just needs someone with more time and knowhow to just assemble the damn thing and enjoy the hell out of driving it. There's a TON of cash and lead time involved in replicating this, so I think the price I'm asking is pretty fair. I realize I could possibly get a little more if i part it all, but I won't be going that way unless it really looks like nobody here or locally is interested.

Feel free to PM with any questions or requests. If I can't offload it as a large lot after a month or so, I'll consider parting it if i don't decide to just suck it up and build it over the winter.

If you have no hits on the entire package, plan to part it out?

If so, price on the mani/downpipe?

As it says in the post, I am going to shop it out as a complete lot for a month or so, then decide whether I want to part it or grow a set and build it. The keystone in that decision will be whether I find someone that wants the roller. If someone wants that, parting the rest of it is pretty easy.

Until I make that decision, I'm not planning on putting prices on any components. Sorry.

Hey, well its a great deal you've got here. I have no doubts the completed car would sell for 6k if it's as you've described, good luck finding the right buyer for the package deal.
