Default 1996 5-speed transmission with 67k miles-$450/obo

I am selling my original 5-speed that out of my 1996. I have replaced it with a MS 6-speed and need some extra shelf space in my garage . It shifts great and will work for anyone looking for a good tranny.

I am in the DC area and can deliver within a reasonable distance.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks,
Jason

$375 for the new year. I know someone has the need for a strong transmission!

For $150, I will keep it or sell it to a local Spec racer for more(confirmed with local racer). Luckily I can verify the actual mileage since the car is sitting in the garage

I looked on miata.net and there are 1.6 trannies with more miles going for $150. There is also a 1.8 tranny with 108k going for $300...I think $375 is fair for a strong, smooth shifting tranny with verified mileage....

Local search, $375 is a steal based on this...

side view mirrors?
front timing cover and bolts?

advice: Anyone willing to swap a trans and has the know-how, would just go to the local junkyard and grab one for $50-200. You'll be sitting on this forever if you don't get reasonable.

I posted a link to the car part finder and some of those for $300 have almost 180k on them and are from 1.6s(weaker trans)....$375 is reasonable for a true mileage trans in good shape....

If someone wants a high mileage tranny for $50-$200 then this may not be your best deal. Mine is priced 50% less than some of the ones with 2x the mileage and you can actually see the 96 that it came out of.....it's in my garage

Rebuilts go for 900, 100m+ 1.6s you may find for 150, 100m+ 1.8 expect 250, low mile 1.8 around 350 is reasonable.

If you seriously find a transmission for $50 TELL ME and I will buy it... I've only rebuilt at least 12 of these in the past two months.

How about 75 plus shipping?

Shifted fine, but had metal shavings on the magnetic plug
